"One of the best ways to get involved at highlands church is to try a group."
May-June 2008
Jamie Baird
The mission of Small Groups at highlands is to help people become more fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ through life-changing small group experiences.
As we build a new Small Group culture at highlands, we will also be defining and redefining what small groups mean for most people. In April we successfully launched five new small groups, each with a different flavor. Some of these groups will be open for new people to join them on May 20th at Starting Point and new groups will also be starting out that night.
We invite you to come on by and check out Starting Point to see if Small Groups are for you.
Q: How do I get involved in a Small Group at highlands?
1. Attend Starting Point - Small Group Orientation
When: May 20th, 2008 from 6pm-8pm Where: Marriott Courtyard, Paso Robles Who: Any one interested in learning more about the
Small Groups ministry at highlands church. This will be a fun morning led by the Pastor Graham Baird, Jamie-Director of Small Groups and Outreach, Jill-Coordinator of Small Groups and a number of others.
Small Group nights at highlands will begin intermittently throughout the month of April. Now is a great time to get involved in Small Groups, because highlands will be starting over 20 Small Groups in the next year.
Q: Are there different kinds of Small Groups at highlands?
The answer is Yes! The best way to describe small groups at highlands is that it is like a 'Choose Your Own Adventure' book. Though everybody starts out on the same page, the outcome is never the same.
