People sometimes ask what it is that I like most about being the pastor of a brand new church, – the opportunity to provide a transforming worship experience that helps people become renewed in their faith, the fulfillment of providing programs that meet the needs of people in their different stages of life, the chance to mobilize an entire congregation to provide assistance to needy people in the world. These are all exciting, but the most exciting thing about building a new church is living and working in the same space as people and seeing individuals who don't think of themselves as "church people", become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.
